Growing a Farmer Part 2; Thoughts
Growing a Farmer Part 2 Thoughts
I liked the book overall. It should’ve
ended after the second chapter; I feel it pretty much summed up the book and
the rest was details that should’ve been left out. I like the fact that he was
a successful business owner multiple times but he ended up doing what he loves.
If people were interested in farming and wanted to understand what it takes to
be a real farmer. I also think it was funny that he named his cow Dinah because
of the nursery rhyme. I also find it crazy that bees die off during delivery
and during the winter, I thought that was crazy.
Kurt definitely loved the fact of
doing his work on his time. He connected to the farming life and he made it
through the tough times to be able to enjoy the good. I definitely didn’t like
the slaughterhouse chapter; I feel the book didn’t need that chapter. He should’ve
narrowed down what he wanted to talk about and set a better timeline of the
specific information. It was too unorganized.
I recommend this book to anyone
interested in farming, other than that, most people would find this book boring.
I guess a book cant teach you everything, I feel Kurt would concur with that
now.
